Whining to Wine

This whole work thing, five days a week…ummm, not liking so much. After graduating from school, I thought I’d love coming home, sitting down on the couch, knitting needles in hand, watching a re-run of Law and Order. But that’s just not the case. After waking up at 6 am (usually 6:53 am, hitting the snooze button 4.8 million times) to drive 75 minutes to work (because 75 minutes sounds much shorter than an hour and 15 minutes…or maybe it doesn’t), I arrive at 8:40 am (though I pretend I’ve been there since 8:15 am), I stare at a computer, fielding phone calls, walking down the halls with my heels making beautifully loud echoes through the musty halls (all at the same time of course), only to return to my humble abode by the earliest 7 pm. So, if I supposed to run my errands, do my laundry, make dinner and my lunch for the following day, and clean the house, and talk on the phone to my beau and be sleeping my 10 pm, how the hell am I supposed to get any darn knitting done around here. Okay, I’m done bitchin’. I know I have it good…just felt like whining, or maybe I just need a tall glass of wine.
