Knitted Stirrup Cozies

If I was an OBGYN, I would definitely knit these for my patients! Now, would I be crazy enough to bring them in, if I were the patient? Hmmm....

One sock down, one to go

This is my very first sock, and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be (of course, I had a little help from the sock pro aka JaKnit). On my next sock, I'm going to pick up even more stiches, because there was a hole in this one...not too large and definitely not going to deter me from wearing them. One of the ladies at the LYS told me I should really take a class to learn how to knit socks, but I would have to disagree. While a class may make the process less scary, with a little faith and perserverance, you will be just fine. The trick is to find a a pattern that spells everything out for you. Like Denzel Washington says in the movie Philadelphia, ~Talk to me like I'm a five-year old~

No, definitely not me! But, someone else does. I read on some reality tv website that fills my head with useless information, but entertaining nonetheless, that Mariska Hargitay is expecting her first baby. Somehow, I made it to her website which is pretty damn cool. She's one of the main reasons I love Law and Order: SVU. I mean, I knew she was cool, but that cool??
